Retórica y retrato poético se presenta como una monografía sobre la influencia de la teoría y práctica retórica en la literatura dentro de un campo bien definido: el retrato físico y moral de los personajes poéticos. Para ello se analizan textos literarios que van desde el Idilio 17 de Teócrito hasta la lírica española del siglo XX y que repasan la inuentio y dispositio del discurso de elogio, las pasiones y la tipología de caracteres, los loci a persona y el esquema descendente de la descripción de personas.

I am discovering the love that I have for myself. I am finding comfort in being alone. I can take all that time to better myself and my craft. Both entities I have mentioned are improving tremendously. I have made a lot of mistakes, yes. I have said a lot of things that I had no business saying, yes.
