Healthy Habits is a collection of four stories featuring the Chiminis, fictitious characters that live in the forest and are as small as pine cones. In each story, one of the Chiminis has an adventure that highlights the importance of hygiene, a good diet, and exercise, and offers general health advice.

Cada cuaderno tiene 64 páginas y están pensados para trabajarlos durante todo el curso pues las actividades que contienen son reflejo de los contenidos que se abordan en primer curso. Cada una de las páginas contiene tres o cuatro actividades, numerando las actividades por página. Las actividades están planteadas de forma progresiva, en orden de dificultad creciente, de manera que las actividades que figuran al principio del cuadernillo son para trabajarlas en los comienzos del curso, a medida que éste avanza se trabajarían actividades de páginas intermedias y al final de curso...

María José grieves at the loss of her mother who died in childbirth. She has difficulty sharing her feelings with her father and the distance between them grows with the appearance of a new woman. Her father gets another job which forces them to move to another neighborhood. The new house is small, but is near an ice cream store owned by Mr. Beto. In the store, María José makes friends with girls and boys her own age, but also meets Mr. Beto and his friends. María José and her friends try to help Mr. Beto when he comes down with a sudden illness.
