Libro Hydrology

Hydrology

Hydrology: An Advanced Introduction to Hydrological Processes and Modelling introduces the reader to hydrological processes and methods of estimation of the various quantities involved. Topics covered range from elements of meteorology to precipitation, evaporation and transpiration, interception, and flood routing. Extreme events, design flood, and small catchment runoff are also discussed. This book is comprised of 12 chapters and begins with an overview of hydrology and the hydrologic cycle, along with the world's water resources and their utilization and management.

Libro Organometallic Ion Chemistry

Organometallic Ion Chemistry

A study covering the gas-phase chemistry of organometallic ions. Topics covered include: periodic trends in gas-phase thermochemistry of transition metal-ligand systems; ab initio calculations to determine electronic structure, geometric structure, and thermochemistry of metal-containing systems; electronic state effects on metal ion reactivity; organometallic ion photochemistry; and applications of gas-phase electron transfer equilibria in organometallic redox thermochemistry. Also included are state-of-the-art mass spectrometric instrumentation used in such studies. It also features a...

Libro Multiferroic Materials

Multiferroic Materials

"a very detailed book on multiferroics that will be useful for PhD students and researchers interested in this emerging field of materials science" —Dr. Wilfrid Prellier, Research Director, CNRS, Caen, France Multiferroics has emerged as one of the hottest topics in solid state physics in this millennium. The coexistence of multiple ferroic/antiferroic properties makes them useful both for fundamental studies and practical applications such as revolutionary new memory technologies and next-generation spintronics devices. This book provides an historical introduction to the field, followed...
