En torno a una revista académica, un grupo de profesores de Proyectos de Arquitectura llevamos ya algunos años promoviendo y dando a conocer textos teóricos y críticos acerca de nuestra disciplina, capaces de situar esta actividad en el centro que le corresponde dentro de las actividades de investigación arquitectónica. Y capaces también de divulgar alguna parte de estas investigaciones, producidas sobre todo (aunque no exclusivamente) entre los profesores de la Escuela de Arquitectura de Madrid, sus estudiantes de Doctorado y sus graduados.

La arquitectura es un delirio de poder, un desvarío del deseo de organizar la vida de los otros, que se vincula a la producción industrial-mercantil y a la justificación posterior de su pertinencia. Pero los edificios pueden entenderse sin arquitectura, como cajas que contienen escenarios tipificados para que en su interior se puedan reproducir comportamientos colectivizados. The book is an historic and graphical account of the patios of "vecindad" (neighbourhood) in the port city of Veracruz, in a period that goes from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century. The foreword of this edition, states that the first record of a patio of a "vecindad" dates back to 1791, highlighting that those patios have seen the early years of musician and singer "Toña la Negra" and were the place of origin of the famous "picadas" from Veracruz, one of the most popular snacks of the jarocha traditional cuisine.
