Estudio del arte monetario en la Edad Media, con especial enfasis en la produccion castellana y leonesa. La moneda, como sucede con otras manifestaciones artisticas, responde a los mismos parametros tecnicos, formales, iconograficos y simbolicos propios de su momento. La presente obra estudia sus manifestaciones, la comparacion de la moneda con las restantes artes, sus aspectos formales y su propia creacion. Asimismo, refleja como la moneda es incorporada en otras manifestaciones artisticas del periodo medieval.

En enero de 1871 aparecieron algunos casos de fiebre amarilla en los barrios de San Telmo y Concepción. Las medidas preventivas y de aislamiento fallaron, y la enfermedad se diseminó rápidamente por toda la ciudad. A diferencia del cólera unos años antes, esta epidemia parecía no tener fin. Entre enero y abril.
