Este tomo esta dedicado a las relaciones internacionales de Mexico y al desarrollo de su economia durante el sexenio que corre de 1940 a 1946, se tratan de establecer fundamentalmente las implicaciones y consecuencias directas e inmediatas que trajo consigo la segunda guerra mundial para Mexico. En principio, podria decirse que fue el periodo durante el que el pais volvio a incorporarse al ambito internacional, despues de los problemas que trajo consigo el movimiento armado revolucionario y la lucha de facciones posterior.
