Sinopsis del Libro

En esta segunda entrega de La caída de Tenochtitlan seguimos de cerca el avance de los conquistadores españoles en tierras mesoamericanas, y somos testigos de las intrigas reales, las ambiciones personales y las señales divinas que guiaron a estos pueblos hacia un inevitable enfrentamiento. Año Ce-Acatl. Ciudad de Tenochtitlan. Los nobles y tlatoanis de la capital del imperio y sus ciudades aliadas se reúnen para discutir la noticia que ha sacudido a todo el Cem-Anahuac: la llegada de unos extraños hombres vestidos de metal, que portan armas y montan animales jamás vistos en estas tierras. Mientras tanto, en Cempoallan, el jefe Chicomacatl ya ha establecido contacto con los forasteros, llevándoles regalos y hospedándolos en sus palacios. Surge así la primera alianza entre las huestes del capitán Malintzin y el pueblo tutunakuj, una sociedad dispar que pondráen marcha una venganza largamente esperada: aquella que contra el Imperio mexica han emprendido sus pueblos tributarios.
