Entre 1913 y 1914, la revolución fue decidida por acciones militares que tuvieron lugar lejos de la capital, lo cual creó una nueva composición de la élite revolucionaria en el norte y aumentó su poder político y su autonomía. Dichas circunstancias forman el marco de la presente investigación.
