A mediados del XIX el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla, impulsado por la necesidad de extinguir la mendicidad en las calles de la capital, fundó el Asilo de Mendicidad de San Fernando para recoger en él a cuantos niños y mayores que, bien por su avanzada edad o por encontrarse desamparados y en la orfandad, necesitaran ser asistidos.

The shopping mall is one of the typologies most succesfully developed in the twentieth century. The work of the Mexican architural firm Grupo Arquitech has ventured into this fertile territory. Directed by Juan José Sánchez since 1987. In the space of a few years, Arquitech has designed the main malls in Mexico, perfecting a model that accurately define the limit. This is the first major documentation of their work.
