Ángel Sanz Briz, un joven diplomático de la embajada franquista en Hungría, contemplaba horrorizado la deportación y la matanza masiva de los judíos por los nazis. Con enorme valentía, fue rescatando, uno a uno, a miles de judíos. Su gesta fue reconocida por el Parlamento de Israel, que en 1991 le otorgó el título de Justo de la Humanidad.
