Esta historia breve de Veracruz destaca el proceso de formación de la entidad desde los primeros pobladores hasta la sociedad contemporánea. Veracruz fue nodo estratégico entre Europa y la vasta área caribeña, cuyas costas corren desde Portobelo y Cartagena hasta Corpus Christi.
