Sinopsis del Libro

"Golpes de gracia" es el relato de dos vidas paralelas: la de Paulino Uzcudun, varias veces campeón europeo de los pesos pesados durante los años veinte y treinta, y la del también guipuzcoano Isidoro Gaztañaga, estrella fulgurante de los cuadriláteros y las alcobas. Fueron grandes amigos y enemigos feroces; compartieron juergas y festines; sedujeron a las más bellas y probaron las mieles de la fama; cosecharon titulares, exclamaciones y envidias... Finalmente morderían el polvo. Nunca cruzaron guantes, pero siempre se miraron de reojo: miradas de odio, admiración, rencor o respeto. El primero acabó adherido a la causa franquista y, según cuentan, intervino en alguna de sus hazañas más negras. El segundo quedó varado en América y murió a balazos en una remota ciudad argentina por un trivial asunto de celos. Los dos cayeron después en las redes del olvido para renacer con todas sus contradicciones en esta insólita novela.
