This edition of the Observatory presents condensed life tables by sex, projected by five-year periods, for 20 countries in Latin America for the period 1980-2020. It also contains an analytical overview of the information presented, brief description of the methodology used and the data sources for each country. The CD-ROM includes the life tables for the period 1950-2050 along with information on estimates and projections of total, urban, rural and economically active population.

Juan José Jiménez Morales nació en el seno de una familia ejemplar de siete hermanos, en una comunidad hermosa del estado de Hidalgo llamada Tecocomulco, un Febrero del medio siglo pasado.
