Sinopsis del Libro

Se alejó lo más posible. Necesitaba como nunca sentir la tierra, el aire, la naturaleza, cargarse de su fuerza ahora que las suyas flaqueaban. Volvió a llorar, se rebeló contra su destino, al parecer el mismo que el de todas las mujeres de su familia, que como en una maldición después de bendecirlas con el amor, las abocaba a perder al hombre que amaban. Lucía ha perdido a sus padres a temprana edad y aguarda angustiada la muerte de su abuela Esperanza, con quien vive. Su abuela, además del cariño y el afecto debidos a los lazos de la sangre, se ha preocupado por hacerle entender las leyes no escritas de la naturaleza, cuya transgresión suele acarrear la desgracia, como le pasó a Gerardo. Pero la vida de Lucía cambiará y también su visión de las cosas cuando conoce a Tino, quien, a su vez, se verá seducido por la quietud y fuerza de un entorno que al principio consideró hostil.
