Sinopsis del Libro

Trece mujeres cubanas narran historias de maltratos y con sus testimonios recuperan la voz después de años de silencio, desnudando intimidades y vergüenzas para cobrarle a la violencia con la mejor moneda: la batalla para conservar las ganas de vivir. La autora es parte de estas mujeres, ellas pueden exagerar o minimizar los hechos narrados, a algunas el temor les ha impedido casi hablar, y otras han buscado en las profundidades de sus memorias para ofrecer sus vivencias. Historias comunes y habituales que aparentan ser únicas, que se han convertido en cotidianas; por eso es válida la denuncia para evitar ser mujeres violentadas y visibilizar actitudes, estereotipos, de construir mitos, y construir nuevos paradigmas de relaciones de pareja, padres-hijos, hombre-mujer.
